Being your best? We’ve all said devaluing comments before:
"Meh - It just wasn’t for me."
"I guess it wasn't meant to be."
"Yeah, someone got in the way."
"Oh well, you win some, you lose some."
These are all things that come to our minds when we let ourselves down. We hold ourselves back from being the best we can. This is just an indication that we can increase our own odds at success. By assessing your actions in these situations you can identify what is hindering your chances of success and increase your confidence.
Here are three bad habits that can prevent you from being your best.
Every person who is successful - be it man, woman or child - dreams big. Set goals to work towards. Goals and visions that give you purpose and connects you with the future.
It may be easy to say but it’s not easy to do. Not believing in yourself can make it very difficult to chart your future. This requires an overhaul of yourself, self-affirmation and to some extent, being present.
The definition of success is different for every person and it is important that there is now end goal. When you set these goals and visions it is important to remember that success is found in the shifting everyday moments.
Some say that talk is cheap - it’s easy to say something but doing it requires a lot of determination. By not following through you are essentially sabotaging your own success - make sure you have that vision and chart to follow through and complete what you’ve started.
Being honest with yourself is key in becoming successful - there are many parts in this process. First, it is imperative that you take the time to get to know yourself and assess your own strengths and weaknesses. To be able to grow and evolve in terms of your skill-set, your talents and world experience, you need to be honest with yourself. This is how you build character, through experience.
Building your character in an honest way can be very important for the soul. A character is a lot easier to keep then to recover. Being honest first to yourself and then to others will lead you to success in part of your life. Just remember success is different to everyone. It is, however, a positive attribute. To achieve this you need to be honest, believe in yourself and follow through with your actions.
