Health & Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Health & Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Manager to join a large Rail company contractor in Sydney.

This company is a highly regarded Rail construction company operating out of Sydney. With many years of experience in local and state government projects in the area, their reputation is proudly built on exceeding the expectations of our clients in quality and value while placing safety at the pinnacle of our operations.

About you:

The role involves the overall management and continuous improvement of our existing HSEQ systems and supporting our project teams with the preparation of and implementation of plans, strategies and audits to ensure compliance with the appropriate industry standards in the Rail industry. More importantly, the role is focussed on ensuring the company operates in a safe and high-quality environment in all its operations. The effective implementation of our HSEQ system is a foundation of the success of our business and your ability to drive this system is a key function of the position.The position requires a formal qualification in OHS, Quality or Environmental Management together with an understanding of the application of AS4801, ISO4001 and ISO9001 standards and appropriate legislation.

What you need

  • Excellent communication skill to liaise with work crews, Clients, authorities and the public
  • Cert 4 in WHS or equivalent
  • 3 Years Rail experience
  • Excellent time management skills and organisation
  • High levels of motivation
  • Excellent computer skills

What you will be doing

  • Working closely with site supervisors and project managers to get key WHS over the line
  • Liaise with all people involved in project WHS and HSEQ implementation
  • Onsite and office based environment
  • Planning of site based WHS and HSEQ
